From a completely functional Intrepid install, I updated to Jaunty. Now when I boot it I am brought to a terminal type log in screen. I log in and am presented with the command prompt. I tried to install updates and navigate around my filesystem, but it seems the computer does not recognize it. I attempted to mount it, but with no results. I can not give any more information because I have already regressed to Intrepid, but if someone knows off hand what the problem was, it would be greatly appreciated.
It seems to me like using an outdated operating system simply because it works better is Windows mentality.
