I have an ubuntu minimal install on a laptop. It' serves as a www server / smb share / etc. However, the monitor on the laptop will not "sleep". I can't figure out an option to turn off my monitor. All the fixes I see in the forums are keyboard shortcuts and stuff if you are running X. If you aren't, is there a way to shutdown the monitor (DPMS?) when it is idle? 99% of the time I SSH into this laptop to manage it so I'm just looking to save the screen life for a little longer. Thoughts?
