I put Ubuntu 9.04 on an old pc with an Intel i810 chip in the other day. Before I manually amended the xorg.conf to get the display right, resolution-wise, Compiz was working, despite the age of this machine and that chip. Now it's not. Is there anything I can add/change in files to get it working? (I've taken out an FX5200 and better hard drive than it now has to salvage for my next machine.)
It's a pc I'm selling, and I'd just like to make it as swish as it can be, hence the new Ubuntu. Youtube videos are running fine so I don't think I'll be making headaches for the buyer!
