I've been a user of KDE for the last three years now, and I found my favourite combination of window decoration and style with "KDE2" and "Light Style, 3rd revision". Now while KDE2 is still available in Kubuntu Jaunty (and slightly better with the repositioned close button), Light Style is not in any form, and I've not been able to find anything as compact and minimalist. I'm using Klearlooks as the best I've got at the moment, but it's just not as good to my eyes. Does anyone have any suggestions for style similar to Light Style for KDE 4?

Minimalist
KDE4

does not compute.

you can use openbox as your window manager within KDE4
then you get the minimalism of openbox along with the bloat of kde4!

Have you looked at http://www.kde-look.org/?
I can't recommend anything, I am using the default KDE4 theme myself.
