I'm running windows vista and I am trying to install ubuntu onto an external hard drive. my problem is that once I've installed ubuntu and either 1 of 2 things happen.
1) Nothing happens and it boots straight to windows vista
2) I get the dreaded error 21 and have to dig out my vista CD and use the bootrec.exe to reinstall my MBR
I've been searching the forums and have tried following multiple links to different help guides and still get the same two problems. Any idea where I'm going wrong?
Like I said I have used search but the links came to no avail sorry!
