I have now removed RhythmBox and when I go to places Home folder I get the following error.

"Could not open location 'file:///home/user'

Failed to execute child process "rhythmbox" (No such file or directory)"

All of the bookmarks in places yield similar results..

This was caused by associating rhythmbox with a cellphone trying to transfer music which didn't work btw.

Anyone have an idea how to re-assoicate nautilus with the bookmarks menu in places as well as the home and desktop?

Hallo.
You are not alone!!!
I have the same problem on a machine that I look after for a friend of mine, and I saw a thread from someone else the other day with something similar, but opening mplayer or something instead of rythmnbox.

But I still have now idea how to fix it....:(

edit:
no, wait! I have just looked again. The other thread is solved:

Let me know if you try it and it helps. I haven't been able to try it yet
