.
All cds have failed to get beyond screen where it says "Try without changing..." excpt for Memory test. Memory test is working on every disk I have created.
- Try without changing fails
- Disk Check fails

8.04 versions show a Loading Linux Kernal progress box, but it usually hangs between 10% and 55%

Last Week I downloaded ubuntu 9.04 for tghe first time, created live cd, booted, it all worked great.
Then I did it again in another city on a laptop, everything worked.
This weekend trying to get kubuntu and xubuntu - all efforts to make good live cds failing.

Any hints?
tissues?
shoulders?

Thanks,

Love Ubuntu 9.04,

Mikel

System specs? Sounds like not enough ram (I recommend 512mb minimum).

I have tried to boot kubuntu live cd on same laptop and tower as ubuntu live cd.
ubuntu 9.04 works fine. kubuntu 9.04 & 8.04 will not get beyond "Try without changing..." menu.
xubuntu is supposed to work on smaller memory systems and I want to use it on an old laptop with 384MB but it wont get to installation process. Only menu item that works is test memory, which tries to run forever. Check disk does not work and I do not want to try Install unless I can get Try without changing to work.
