Unable to play iso with VLC since upgrading to 9.04

Hi, I upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 a couple of days ago, and now I can no longer play dvd movie's that I have stored as ISO with VLC. I can play a DVD with VLC just not a stored ISO. It starts up and then quits everytime.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
