Intrepid worked very well on my sistem, now since I've upgraded to 9.04 it screwed up my graphics card big time. I have an intel card, and I wasn't aware of all the intel issues people have been having.
My video is very laggy and my favourite program: blender, does not work well (part of the viewport isn't being updated). I'm super angry, why the f*** would you release that code if it breaks so many systems. I read I have to upgrade the kernel, but will lose support for restricted kernel drives....that would suck, then I can't install the proprietary driver for intel.

Anyways, how do I go back? Ubuntu asked if I want to remove "obsolete packages", so I said yes, so it removed my old kernels (damnit!).

There's no simple way to go back; a reinstall is generally the best approach.

is there any way of reinstalling without losing everything?
