I'm new to the forum, and new to ubuntu. So my apologies. I really need some help.
I bought a new external USB hard drive (1 terabyte) for Ubuntu, and want to leave the internal sata drives (80 gb & 100gb) for XP. I installed ubuntu 9.04, following several threads and instructions on how to install to dual boot. I do have the ubuntu working but xp won't boot.
At first i had an error where grub wan't even giving me a menu, or booting into either os. I followed some threads here and now have it working to the point where it does list both OS's and lets me boot ubuntu.
However if i click to boot XP, i get a Error 12: Invalid device requested. press any key...
Can someone help me with this? I am a noob, but i'm trying to learn.
I did find where someone suggested running a boot_info_script tool and posting the results to the forum - so here's mine:
