Did anyone else know that Bigpond Music does DRM-free music downloads (MP3)? Not only that, but all the downloading happens through your web browser; no proprietary Windows-only software needed!

I'm very impressed, especially as Bigpond Music used to use DRM and be locked to Windows Media Player. And, like the iTMS, they sell gift cards in retail stores, have fixed prices for single tracks and albums (discounts if you get your internet through Bigpond) and use high bitrate files.

I don't usually say nice things about Telstra, but they are really on the ball with this shop. I just discovered it tonight. Heh, now that they use plain MP3s, they really do "plays for sure" :-)

Anyone else used it lately?

It's nice to hear something positive about Telstra, as you say, it is a rarity.
