View Full Version : [ubuntu] Messed up installation

Help! when i was installing ubuntu on my laptop and i wanted to dual boot with windows. so i partition the drive and started installing but then their was an error while installing and my computer shut down.. after rebooting i tried again but then the partition that i made before was still there, but i couldn't use it, i had to make a new partition, but i don't want to use up any more space, so wht do i do?

have you tried deleting the partition in your windows installation?

how? there is no option to delete the partition.

you can find it Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Storage (something like that) > Logical (or something like that), then you should see there your partitions...

sorry about the navigations, haven't used windows for a while...:D

who would use Windows when u got ubuntu. kmaster228 is it ur bros laptop? the one we used for installing my ubuntu? i might install ubuntu into my XP comp due to HDD problems with booting onto XP (not sure why) so i will use this tread if i have problems

hehe yeah thats the one unfortunatly there was an error while installing and the partition was still there
