View Full Version : [ubuntu] Cant upgrade linux-image-2.6.28-12

Every Time I try and install or upgrade I get the following error messages, I have tried building dependancies, purging the lists and cache and nothing seems to work at all.......does anyone have any ideas?

Bump.....anyone got an idea?

The latest stable version of the kernel for Jaunty is 2.6.28-11.42, so I guess you have the proposed repository enabled, or backports. If proposed, perhaps not all the dependencies are in place yet. Do you have proposed enabled? If so, do you know that's not a good idea, unless you want to help with QA testing?

Yes I did, took out proposed and backports from Synaptic and it seems to have done the trick........thanks a lot as I have been struggling with this for days and never realised that was the problem.
