My linux based phone (Android G1: 104:00:23) has a higher uptime than my desktop (Jaunty: 46:02:02)

does anyone even care about their uptimes? .. it's never a good feeling when i have to reboot =[ ...

If you have a server, you should care. If you have a desktop, save your electricity.

It's spelled 'laptop' not "loptap". Also, there's suppose to be a space between "up" and "time".

What is load average? I have seen it before but it just looks like numbers to me.
