I'm about to replace one of my servers that is currently running Fedora 10 with a Ubuntu Server Distro. Haven't decided which one yet.

I may just start with backup as that is the simplest box. Only runs Samba and has a multi-Terrabyte RAID array. Used to backup the other Linux and Win7 boxes on the network.
Anyway, the question is - What major differences should I be looking out for or will the switch be fairly transparent to me?
I'm a fairly experienced Unix/Linux administrator, but have never used the Debian or Ubuntu flavors before.
Have admined Solaris, AIX, HPUX, FreeBSD, RedHat, and Fedora previously.
