Hi, I just got 9.04 and its great, i installed Emerald and it is working with compiz. i get the emerald themes to appear by typing:

emerald --replace

in the terminal.

everything is good. But every time i restart the computer i need to run this command and if i close the terminal the emerald theme disappears. see picture.

I would like to have the emerald theme start automatically at the beginning of every session, you know, like it should.

Thanks.

Go to System --> Preferences --> Startup Applications and make an entry for emerald.

If you don't want to use a terminal to run a command, just press alt-f2 and enter the command into that.
