From clean installs on two different machines (one ASUS motherboard, one Dell Inspiron notebook) from v9.04 ISO image. Had no problem at all with installs, but when the systems try to download update packages via the update manager it is very, very, very, very slow... the notebook right now is showing 1200 B/s, with 13+ hours remaining to download the 44.1 MB of package files. I've run DSLReports speed test from my Windows machine and I'm getting 2795Kb/s down, 364Kbs up with 67ms latency. Ubuntu system shows 2788Kb/s down, 356Kb/s up with 63ms latency.
Any ideas on this? I can't wait 12+ hours for updates... especially on my notebook!
