Why not just get a keyboard that you can custom configure all the keys?

The Optimus Maximus would be perfect for you!

Demo of the Optimus Maximus:

Supposedly the Optimus Maximus works with All Operating Systems.

Which operating systems does Optimus support?
Optimus supports all operating systems, but we first develop software only for Windows and Mac.

Why isn’t there any Linux software?
Because first we want to let 95% of people to work with the keyboard.

Is there a chance it will support Linux?
Maybe sometime.

Can I update the firmware myself?
Yes, you can.

The Optimus Maximus is a very cool keyboard, but I got to admit that I laughed out *very* loud when I saw the price :o

I can understand the price because of all the tech in the keyboard and lcd's in the keys ... but ... its still just a keyboard!

Yeah, I think it may be for people who only have enough money to afford it. ;)

The price is a bit over the top and admittedly laughable, but for someone who has the money and wants such an item, more power to them.

I remember keyboards that used to have an extra row of function keys, up to F24.

thanks for the links, im looking to see if i can find any of these, i have found a few on ebay, but you have to get them in bulk, but i only want 1 lol

edit: this keyboard would be fun http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tipro-128-Key-programmable-Keyboard-with-MSR-BNIB_W0QQitemZ320371885861QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_BO I_Retail_Shop_Fitting_POS_Equipment_ET?hash=item32 0371885861&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1688|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50 but it hasnt got a space bar
if it had a space bar bottom centre, i would brought one of these already, then brought some keyboard stickers to label the letter keys etc.

What would be nice is a laptop with no mouse at all and about 4~5 extra rows of keys insted :)

Im thinking of just buying one of these, but im not sure weater xbindkeys treats each keyboard different or weather it will end up having the same even number as the numeric pad on my current keyboard

I would like a laptop that had a extra row of keys aswell as a mouse. losing the mouse would be a pain, its not needed for most tasks , but it does make them easier.

my normal deltaco keyboard got 17 media keys at the top, programmable. They're not like the other keys in terms of look and feel but those can be used for pretty much anything.
