How to install a theme in .tar.gz format

I hope this is the right place.

I just downloaded a theme which is in a .tar.gz format. I expanded it, but now I don't know how to install it.

Click on system ---> preferencence ---> appearence

drag'n'drop into this window and then click on customize and select the theme you have copied before.
