I downloaded monodevelop-2.0.tar.bz2 package from here (http://monodevelop.com/Download). The README file says I have to compile it using these commands:
1. ./configure --prefix=`pkg-config --variable=prefix mono`
2. make
3. make install
This is the ouput of the first command:
jaka@LaptopJaka:~/Desktop/MonoDevelop/monodevelop-2.0$ ./configure --prefix=`pkg-config --variable=prefix mono`
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c

checking for MONODOC... configure: error: Package requirements (monodoc >= 1.0) were not met:
No package 'monodoc' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables MONODOC_CFLAGS
and MONODOC_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
jaka@LaptopJaka:~/Desktop/MonoDevelop/monodevelop-2.0$
When I type 'make' it just says:
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
So... what am I doing wrong? By the way I'm using Kubuntu.
