Hi,
I had Ubuntu Studio 8.?? Running fine. I decided to do a clean reinstall with Studio 9.04. Immediatly the upgrade manager popped up so I proceeded to do the upgrade and that stalled after 5 pkg were downloaded. had to turn off the laptop to restart. did that several times and things went the same way. the network is fine as I downloaded the ISO for mepis in 22 minutes, and checked the md5 both manually and with K3B.
NEW INFORMATION..I re-installed Ubuntu Studio and had the bright idea of running the upgrade in terminal so I did the apt-get update and then apt-get upgrade and the upgrade stalled during the download of package 6 whish happens to be GNOME-APPLETS-DATA. it stalls at 8% and freezes the laptop. I have to power down and up to restart the laptop.
Any ideas? HP Pavilion n61nn series 2gb mem nvidia...used alternate build
Not sure if it's studio specific or all *buntus are affected.
Thanks
NP
