You should make a thread on a forum asking people what to do, and then do it without question.

I think you should make a new ubuntu flavor called lg3dubuntu that use the Looking Glass Desktop as its GUI.

If you are only temporarily bored you might try browsing Digg (http://digg.com). I find a lot of interesting news on that site. If you are continually bored, you might try learning something new. Learn to play an instrument, learn to cook, learn a foreign language, programming language, etc. If you aren't already on an exercise program perhaps you could try that and lose a few kilos in the process.

Read Post-Nuke (http://www.postnukecomic.com/comic.php).

This might actually happen. People nowadays are extremely naive, blind and careless... Just an opinion. :)

If you're going to read comics, read Tales from America (http://talesfromamerica.blogspot.com/). It's unlike anything you've read before, I'm sure. In fact there's a good chance you won't like it, but I don't think the author cares.

There's probably someone working on that now using remastersys.

I'll be back. I have a terminal to mindlessly shade/unshade.

Do you want attention? Is that what your seeking , Killing yourself will only end the attention getting , now that would be counter productive would it not? How about contacting your family with these thoughts of suicide? Or have you worn your welcome and are they no longer interested in your empty threats , Call the hospital and tell them you want to kill yourself , they will give you attention and help you feel better , what a great deal.

I sense a redditor is in our presence...I think I checked that site out once: was filled with all the same tabloid gossip/'weird medical stories'/conspiracy theory/Ron Paul crap. Digg had a tolerable level of idiocy up until they switched to a general news focus and all the nuts came out of the woodwork. I gave up right around the time of the US primaries, for obvious reasons.

Do the human race a favour (or two):
- buy a sarcasm detector
- never work on a suicide support line.

If I did i would just scream on their rear ends like an abusive father , which is probably what they need anyway.

Abusive father > help.

Wiebelhaus

Abusive father > help.

Yes , someone to kick the crap out of them and scream things like "BE A MAN" "STOP BEING A WIMP" "GROW A PAIR" "DON"T BE A GIRLY MAN" stuff like that and send their fragile emotional shells to the Marine / Army / Navy recruiters , I bet boot camp would make them stop feeling sorry for themselves.

I was thinking more subtle abusive. Things like saying "You dissapoint me." when no one else is around.

Your way sounds like it might be more effective.

True story: I haven't read a physical book longer than a pamphlet since before leaving high school. It's one of my favourite things about no longer studying.

Granted, I spend half my day reading news and articles on the net but at least that's comfortable to do (did I mention my computer chair is a sofa?).

I'm bored... What should I do?

First: Turn your computer off!

Then: walk away from your desk, take a walk, ride a bike, go on a hike, go fishing, create, find a hobby etc. etc.

Boredom will never be adequately relieved on a computer.

away..long walk
ride a bike
go on a hike
on ur lobby?
find a hobby.
