Hello everyone,

I am currently using Ubuntu 9.04 with GNOME, latest updates, etc.

I would like to install Konqueror and use it as a file manager. Is it possible to install Konqueror by itself, without the kubuntu-desktop metapackage?

Thanks in advance for your input,

Yes it is possible to install Konqueror in Ubuntu without the whole desktop, I have done that before. However, Dolphin is now the file manager in the KDE. If, you install Konqueror, Dolphins comes with it. However, sometimes the forms will freeze in Konq in Ubuntu. So, Konq works better, in Kubunntu except for the problem with the KHTML motor on the Ubuntu forums and some other sites.
