OK here is the deal i have all the link and done more searching i had synergy running at one point but anyways....

here are some of the links i have ... but i can't seem to find or get the synergy to work:( i am total newb now at all this:(

now the above says to add something to repository but seems i can't add it this time ? am i doing somthing wrong? anyways .... so anything about this would be helpful.....

although i just found http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/ but .... i am not sure how to do what they want to install it as i am still a windows baby and can't seem to firgure out the command to compile and all that and then install it are just... well u get idea i hope... i sure hope someone can get me in the right area... thnx

I'm just about to set mine up so I found your post...
So I'll tell you how i do it and how it works for me:

To download synergy on Ubuntu I type
in the terminal(Which can be found at Main menu> Accessories> Terminal)


sudo apt-get synergy

Then it asks you for your pass...and you type it...and it installs it:)

Do not forget 'install'



sudo apt-get install synergy
