How do I add these libraries?

Hello. I've just installed Ubuntu on my laptop. I'm trying to jailbreak my Ipod Touch 2.2.1, and I need to install the following libraries: libcurl, bzip2, zlib, openssl, libusb and libpng. As I am new to using a unix machine, I do not know how to check to see if I already have these, or to add them if i don't already have them installed.

I'm not quite familiar enough with the lexicon yet to be able to know if I've found what I'm looking for. I appreciate the help.

Hello there :) Well the easiest way is to check em out with the synaptic package manager. That`s in System --> Administration :)
