hi everyone,

I'm surfing now internet from university with windows OS, so i wondering if i can connect from here to my pc at home using windows remote desktop

any help?

1. you should have enabled your ubuntu system. by default it will be blocked.
please check this link (http://www.ubuntugeek.com/share-your-ubuntu-desktop-using-remote-desktop.html). it will help you how to go ahead.
2. do you have permission in your university to access?

I belive RDP is not available for Linux (but stand to be corrected)

However there are other ways.

ssh is default in Linux and windows has Putty for ssh.

Also NxFree does a client for windows and a server for Linux (its free)

VNC which is already installed in Linux has I believe a windows client.
