Okay, I'm having problems using the Live CD. I used Ubuntu in the past, and I wanted to get a fresh install for various reasons.
When I used the live CD with my standard setup (either normal, safe graphics mode, ACPI off, etc), the computer freezes the moment the mouse appears. When I switched to a live USB drive (and various combinations of my USB mouse, keyboard (which has a built in USB hub), PS2 keyboard, no mouse, etc), I get to the desktop for about 5 seconds, and then it freezes completely (sometimes right when the login soundtrack is playing).
My setup off the top of my head:
Abit AN8-Ultra motherboard.
Two IDE hard drives.
IDE DVD drive.
eVGA 7800GT graphics card.
DWL 520+ wireless card.
The rest will take more time to look up. I can't get any error logs, because every time I boot, it freezes. Even the alternate install CD stops partway through installing packages with a "Insert the CD marked Ubuntu... " message, which I can't seem to get past.
Any ideas on what I should do?
