Hi,
I have ubuntu 8.10
I have used nsidwrapper to get my netgear WPN111 wireless network device working
This is fine.
The problem is the computer will no longer restart.
If I turn on the computer from a cold boot where there was no power, it starts fine.
If I shut down the computer, the blue light on the WPN111 keeps flashing even when the computer is off.
When I turn on the computer it hangs during the boot process.
If I use the restart option the same hang happens.

I have looked in BIOS settings but there is no option which refers to usb standby power settings.

I think I need a command I can type which turns off the WPN111 or unloads ndiswrapper or something.
Then put it in the shut down script.
Can anyone advise?
Thanks
Robert
