View Full Version : [ubuntu] make an ISO bootable on USB flash drive

I have:

One 4Gb USB Sandisk SDHC flash drive
One Ubuntu ISO file
One existing Ubuntu system with USB ports
One new system with no OS, the BIOS can boot from USB device

Using the existing Ubuntu system...
I would like to make the 4GB USB flash drive boot-able with the Ubuntu ISO.
So then:

I can put the USB flash drive into the new system.
Boot the new system from the USB flash drive.
Install Ubuntu from the USB flash drive to the hard disk of the new system.

How do I make this ISO bootable on the USB flash drive?

Look for unetbootin.
