I'm a bit confused.
I've installed a new .deb package (Fotoxx) which runs perfectly when I click on it in its /usr/local directory but when I point the menu to it and try to run it, it will not work denying access because of permission issues.
I'm not sure what to do next.
Edit: I rechecked the installation into the menu and noticed I had left out one of the directory characters.....very embarrassing.
