I have a problem....my main laptop is having serious issues, and im thinking of pulling out my old laptop for use.

However, I need to put a new OS on the machine - not an easy task, as the CD drive does not work, it has no floppy disk drive, and the machine will not boot from a USB drive. What would be the best way to put a new OS on the machine?

PS: It's a Sharp PC MC22, with an athlon and 768 MB of RAM

You might be able to get it to boot from network.

I found this. Maybe it's of some help?

Put the hard drive in a USB enclosure, connect to another machine, install, then put it back in the laptop.
