When upgrading from xubuntu 7.10 to 8.10 I seem to have a driver problem for the Belkin wireless card. Using Xubuntu 7.10, my signal strength reads 80%, both lights on the card are on and pages load quickly. After upgrading to 8.10 or even 9.04 I lose one light on my cardbus, signal strength varies from 30% to 70% and pages load slowly. I have tried upgrading my driver for my card but there is no improvement. I am using a Compaq Armada M700 laptop, Belkin Cardbus with ralink rt2500 chipset. Is there any reason why I cannot revert back to the driver I used with version 7.10. I love the friendliness of the new versions 8.10 and 9.04 but I need to solve the driver problem.
