I am attempting to install Ubuntu 9 over the top of my old 8 installation.
I am not upgrading because while experimenting to get my network card to work I think I damaged some core system files and I would like to start fresh anyway.
I am trying to do it the same way I did last time by extracting the .iso file onto my external hard drive and then running wubi to add the external hard drive to the windows bootstrap loader.
At least that's how it worked with 8.
I attempted the same thing about an hour ago and wubi filled the remaining 25 gig or space.
I am not sure if this would affect it but I also have about 46 gigabytes of other data on the hard drive.
If no one can help with this I will try and find an empty disc and just LiveCD it.
