Hi,

my PS3 bluray drive is broken and I'm not going to be able to fix in the next 3 weeks because I'm waiting for the new laser. I have already installed petitboot from usb and everything went fine, then I surfed in several forums to find out how it is possible to installed ubuntu from USB. I know that is not impossible, so I used UNetbootin to make an Ubuntu USB Memory Installation and that went fine as well.

In some forums people are saying that petitboot is going directly to scan and find the Ubuntu Installation in the USB Memory, but in the GUI of petitboot is totally empty for me, so I cannot start the Installation. When i look in the terminal I can see that the USB Memory is mounted and I can see the files, but I'm not sure how I can start the Installation from the terminal or how to manage to have the installation of Ubuntu as a choice in petitboots GUI.

Anyone else that tried to do something similar and can help me? Is it possible to start the installation from the terminal?

Thx in advance for your help
