Ok, first I have no sound at all. So, I tried following these instructions from this post

but I get a permission denied when I am trying to compile it.
I don't know what's going on.
I am not a computer programmer, I just want to support a philosophy.
Has anyone else had problems since the upgrade? I have a Pavalion DV6. No clue on the sound card.
My sound worked just fine in Hardy. I don't know what would have happened to change this. I need someone to walk me through this.
