Well, imagine that someone (the big company or someone else) would suit linux or some foss stage. The issue could be software patents or whatever, but let's think of a serious threat to the continuity of free software as a whole.
Would you be willing to donate some money to a foundation (say the fsf or something like that) for supporting the costs of fighting in the courts?
Just curious about how many of us are here because of libre and how many because of gratis.
