I used Guadalinux back when it was based on Debian, and I must say, I absolutely loved that distribution. Months ago, when I heard the upcoming versions would be based on Ubuntu I was incredibly happy, as from my experience, this really is a superb distribution. As a Live disc and Installer at the same time, it's something some might want to try, even if it's just to play around with the same old Ubuntu Hoary 5.10 with a different themeing :P. On top of that, it's doing wonders at promoting Linux and its usage in Andalusia (Spain).
Guadalinex is a Debian based GNU/Linux distribution promoted by the government of Andalusia (Spain). It's used in:
Schools (more than 100,000 PCs)
Public libraries
Centers for elderly people
Guadalinfo centers
And more than 200,000 copies have been delivered to citizens.
The latest stable version is 2004, published in September 7th. In February 2005, it was announced that the next version will be based on Ubuntu.
Flavors of Guadalinex:
Guadalinex base: the default, once a year release.
Guadalinex EDU: for educational centers (think Edubuntu).
Guadalinex CDM: for Elderly Care Centers.
Guadalinex BIB: for Libraries (in development).
Guadalinex Mini: for old hardware.
Guadalinex Guadalinfo: for Guadalinfo centers.

I think they're doing a wonderful job for the community. My hat's off to them.
