I was looking for a twitter client with libnotify support, something except twitux! thnx in advance

Gwibber is probably the best one out there. It supports Twitter as well as many other sites.

I use twhirl (runs under adobe air) and it's really good!

Gwibber is the right choice.. Adobe Air apps are still resource heavy

+1. Plus, nobody gives a damn about what you are doing right now. Just focus on doing it right, instead of describing it every minute.

+1. Plus, nobody gives a damn about what you are doing right now. Just focus on doing it right, instead of describing it every minute.

I don't like to post everything I'm doing, but my friends and I have come to use twitter in combination with Firefox's shareaholic extension, to share interesting news articles, blog posts, and video's we find around the net.

I find it's much better than social bookmarking for these purpose's.

nobody forces you to write your thoughts. I personally use it as a news reader!

+1 I use it to keep up to date on when various podcasts / blogs get updated that I'm interested in

P.S: I use Gwibber and it's ace :D

i installed gwibber too, but some times i get http error when trying to connect with twitter

That's odd.. you're not experiencing any other issues with other software like your web browser are you?

I've never had a problem like that, have a nosey around on the Gwibber Launchpad pages https://launchpad.net/gwibber maybe?

i think it has to do with constant refreshes. I set refresh time to 5 mins and seems to be ok now! thnx for the info anyway :)

i use twitterfox :)

its really nice firefox addon, i like because it means i dont have to run 2 programs.

gwibber is multiprotocol. YOu can link it with facebook, pidgin twiiter and other services and update all em at once

I use twitter to share urls, interesting things on the internet. And identi.ca is a quick way to get some help on linux in general.
