Invisible text in Qt apps

So, running Jaunty and Metacity, I can't see any of the text in the combo boxes of qt applications. The text color is the exact same as the background (white). When I hover over the text, it becomes visible though. How can I fix this?

I had the same problem. I ran qtconfig (apt-get if necessary), and changed the GUI style to plastique. (Followed by File > Save)

It does not match with my Gnome desktop, but at least I can see the combo box items.
