Just wondering if the following scenario is possible and where i could find a How-to guide:

At work we have a windows xp network. The internet connection is filtered and many sites are blocked, such as this one.

What I wanted to do was reconfigure Firefox to connect through a VPN (My Ubuntu PC at home) and access the net through my connection at home.

I was also considering XDMCP with cygwin but 9.04 seems to have some problems with this.

Anythoughts or suggestions.

Basically would like to have access to my Pc from windows at work, to use the net without restriction and running X would be a bonus.

Much obliged and again sorry if the terminology is incorrect or I m over-complicating the situation.

Thanks for the heads up but unfortunately all proxy sites are blocked. It says proxy anonymizer.

I tried using TOR (onion) but that was too slow and got blocked following day.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
