I'm new to linux and innstalled ubuntu 9.0.4 (x64)on a 64 bits machine with 2 nvidia 9800 gtx (Sli). The first problem was drivers for the graphic cards. I solved that following this fine guide.

When i try to enable visual effects I get the message "Could not enable visual effects"!!!
Can anyone please help me with this.. I would really like to use the gnome/compiz effects!!
