Reverting to 8.10 from 9.04

Hi,

I've been using Ubuntu for a while now, and recently upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04. However, I've run into some issues with Jaunty (such as Compiz not working correctly and several freezings) and rather then take up peoples time trying to figure them out, I would prefer to just downgrade to Intrepid. Is there a way to do so without completely reinstalling from disk?

Ubuntu is not designed to downgrade. You'll need to install the older version from scratch.

I gave up on 9.04 - too many freezes!
I just reinstalled 8.10

i just reinstall 8.10 because of graphics issues (i have HD3870x2)
