Hi Folks:

I have a box currently running Ubuntu 8.04.2 LTS (I tried installing 9.04 on it, but X did not work. But that's a separate story. :-) ).

Apparently you cannot upgrade directly from 8.04 to 9.04, but would have to pass through 8.10 on the way to 9.04. While a pain in the butt I can see that if I push myself.

The problem is that I went to go get the 8.10 CD to burn it so I could go from 8.04 to 8.10 to 9.04 and I can't find it! I can download 8.04LTS and 9.04 (of course) but I can't find 8.10.

Am I missing where 8.10 is? If it is not there how can you move from the 8.04LTS (which is still being supported) to 9.04?

Come to think of it 8.10 is still being supported. It really should be there. What am I not seeing? :-)

*Sigh* Never mind.

I went to http://releases.ubuntu.com/jaunty/ and thought what happens if I replace jaunty with intrepid and found the 8.10 releases.

I sincerely believe that 8.10 still needs to be on the release page for upgrade purposes if there is no upgrade path between disparate versions.
