Hello,

I had installed Ubuntu 5.10 Breezy in an old PC but back then I chose to install only the base installation by choosing "server" in the installation wizard.

I am now slowly upgrading towards 8.10 by going from 5.10 to 6.06, from 6.06 to 7.10, from 7.10 to 8.04 and from 8.04 to 8.10

My question is, which packages are needed in order to get the graphic interface? I am thinking I am going to need several KDE related packages as well as X but don't know which ones.

Thanks,

Paulo

Hi and I may not be able to help with the x questions, but if you upgrade to 6.06 LTS you can upgrade to 8.04 LTS that may help with the upgrading time. :)
