There is a same problem in XP.

I dont know what is the problem with my ethernet,then i tried usb connection
which worked in XP(i could find drivers in XP).
Please any one help me finding the usb drivers in linux.

modem model:UT300R2U MODEM co.:UTSTARCOM

and more-over please tell me the problem in ethernet

For the most part, there aren't drivers in Linux (with the exception of a few specialty video cards I believe).

Are you having actual problems or are you just concerned that you can't find drivers? If you are having a problem then I suggest you search these forums or, if that fails, post a question here.

There is the problem with my ethernet (as i posted u the out put of some commands) the only way i could connect to internet is via usb .Which is a actual problem to me now.
