Whenever I run the update manager on my Jaunty version, it always freezes my system.
I will reboot, using the magic SysRq key, but only SysRq+B does anything (there is no activity on my hard drive for anything else).
When I boot up again, the mouse doesn't work, the cursor just sits there, Ctrl+Alt+F1 doesn't work, sometimes I can't even use the login box.
I have tried to update, but I have to keep reinstalling.
Could it have to do with the RC? I downloaded a Release Candidate CD and installed via that, and tried to install updates as they came along, but it freezes my system.
