Dual Boot Help

Ok here's the situation.

I have a 500gb sata hard drive in my computer split in to 3 partions.

80gb 320gb 80gb

After a number or reinstalls and a number of incedents I currently have Ubuntu 9.04 on the first 80gb partions (labed /dev/sda3) and windows 7 7100 RC (labed /dev/sda2)

I cannot recover my grub using the how to's I have seen. I get a Error 17 when I try to recover my grub.

Any suggestions for me?

You should be able to reinstall your grub by following this (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RecoveringUbuntuAfterInstallingWindows) guide.If still no luck look here (http://users.bigpond.net.au/hermanzone/p15.htm#17) for explanation of that error and how to fix it.
