Hi there,

I have recently purchased a Sierra 597 Wireless Compass USB card in New Zealand from Telecom to use on my Notebook.

Is there a way to make it work with Ubuntu 9.04?

The only way I have found so far is with Windows, and I don't like that.

Is there anybody in New Zealand using Ubuntu and Telecom 3G wireless cards?

Yep, same issue. So far I'm connecting OK but then dropping the connection immediately. Had it working no probs on 8.04 but it didn't quite survive the upgrade... What symptoms have you got?
