Hi,
Through my research it seems I need the "quirk_detailed_use_maximum_size" quirk added to the xorg-server as I'm using Jaunty and my monitor is "lying" as described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/HugeFonts

This link explains the quirk: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Quirks?action=fullsearch&context=180&value=xf86EdidModes&titlesearch=Titles

However, it doesn't explain clearly (to me anyways) of how to request the quirk be added for me. What site do I go to for requesting this quirk?

My problem seems to be somewhat common on this forum (login screen fonts are HUGE), however the solutions posted are for versions other than Jaunty, and I'm using Jaunty which requires a different solution according to the HugeFonts link above.

Here's the quote at the bottom of the HugeFonts link:

With Jaunty and newer, we no longer use the forced 96 dpi for the logged in session, so the dpi should be consistent with the GDM login screen. If in Jaunty or newer you have improperly sized fonts on the GDM login screen, see the 'Problem: Monitor is lying' section above.

I did what it says and my monitor appears to be lying. I then looked at the page they linked to here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Quirks?action=fullsearch&context=180&value=xf86EdidModes&titlesearch=Titles

and that links says this:

In the case that your monitor is giving bad EDID, the X.org team can put in a quirk (workaround) specific to your monitor model. Please see X/Quirks for details on how to file a bug against xorg-server requesting this, the info to include, etc.

But it's not clear on how to file the bug and request a quirk, can someone assist me in letting me know where to go? Thanks!!
