I have two Ubuntu 9.04 systems. One displays the new notifications fine, the other not.
On the one that is failing I have installed "notify-osd" and uninstalled "notification-daemon" to no avail. The failing system is also running Compiz Fusion and AWN (unlike the working one). Both nave the notification applet in the top panel.
What do I need to do to get the new notifications working on the failing system? Or is there some incompatibility with AWN/Compiz Fusion?
